I run the most convoluted powershell script in existence from it, just so that script can be in an elevated session. We don't even use BIM 360 unless required by the firms we are working with so we only have a hand full of BIM 360 seats that float around depending on who is working on a BIM project. We're very much an anti-cloud company and keep as much in house as possible & buy perpetual licenses. The added benefit is we wouldn't need to flip flop between Acrobat Reader & Bluebeam to open Secure PDF's as we do now. We're looking into Adobe Acrobat Pro as it still offers perpetual licenses & if we went with the yearly subscription, it would still be cheaper than Bluebeams yearly subscription. We went to order a new seat for a new employee and discovered their licensing cost which for our use case would be a 500% to 700% price increase as we now have to pay per year as opposed to buying it outright and keeping it for 5-7 years. We also use it for markups but that's mostly done manually (aka pin and paper).ġ/3rd of our company is still using Bluebeam 2015 as it still works perfectly fine and only been moving users to newer versions on an as-needed basis so the rest of the company is using various versions between 2016 - 2020. We use the CAD version of Bluebeam and use it to sign/seal, combine pages, split pages, print to PDF from Revit/AutoCAD, measuring blueprints if all we have is a PDF and no actual CAD file.
